When Roy Halladay was 27, (as Morrow is this year) people was saying the same thing. 4.00+ ERA with great stuff. And we all know how good the DOC got. It frustrates me that people dont have patience with Morrow or Drabek. This will be Morrows 3rd year as a starter and Drabek is at or above where Halladay was at his age. Great signing, and as we were saying in the Bautista signing this time last year, we will cross our fingers and hope for the best (worked for Joey-Bats).

I believe in Brandon Morrow. He’s just too good to not be consistently, uh… good… at some some point.

Can I consider myself a 1.5? The potential for Morrow is definitely there, and I’d much rather pay him than go broke bringing in a free agent that could do the same thing.

I have to admit, I was a little worried an extension might not get done, but having Brandon for the next 3 seasons makes me feel much more comfortable about the starting rotation moving forward.

We’ll have a much better idea, that’s for sure! But don’t forget, even if the Jays win the bid, they’ll still have to sign Darvish. If they can’t come to a deal, he’ll be back in Hokkaido next season.

I like the return of the old logo (although modified of course) and definitely cheer the return of the word BLUE in the name. I don’t, however, like the return to the old jerseys. Wearing the jersey of a previous champion doesn’t make you a champion. I think they should have been completely redesigned with the throwback logo. That way you have a callback to the past, and a look to the future.

I imagined a Detroit Tigers style jersey – logo on the left of the chest with piping around the neck and down the front. White with blue piping at home and royal blue with white piping on the road, or if you MUST have 3 jerseys (for marketing reasons only) then the road jersey would be grey with blue piping and the royal blue would obviously be the alternate.
